I left my _________ in El Segundo. September 15, 2003

Has anyone noticed that Blogger’s post interface doesn’t exactly work for Netscape 6.2? And to think, I was just about to submit a post about how this site looks subtly different; i.e. badly so when viewed in Micro$oft’s Internet Exploder. That’s what I get for designing the layout in Netscape 6.2, I guess.

So much for standards-compliance. Browser wars can kiss my ass.

Speaking of ass, I don’t feel quite so downtrodden these days - it would seem that my sleep schedule has caught up with my new late-night endeavors. One thing I can add, though - and I’ve said this to a few people - I don’t think that humans adjust very well, or quickly, to a new slumber schedule. Anything diurnal will do, so the saying goes, but if it’s all the same with you, I find it infinitely easier to sleep while everyone else is. In general, of course. For as any insomniac or college student can tell you, there’s nothing wrong with a solitary night up once in a while - but while that may be true, and has been, at least in my case, there seem to be many more interesting things to do during the day. You know, while the rest of society is up-and-functioning. The daytime is a great time to do stuff - unfortunately, that’s where a job usually gets in the way, natch. But then, that’s where the nightshift comes in - which would be great, in turn, if it weren’t for the need to sleep.

Screwed again. Back to complaining about HTML standards, I guess.
