Theme Envy. September 22, 2005
Although I’m currently enjoying modifying the Wrana/Orth 3CR[1] theme, I’m running across several that I’m becoming at least equally fond of. There’s Neptune [2] by Ben de Groot. He’s got the site set up to implement a neat theme-switch; aside from some minor display bugs I note in Firefox, they seem fabulous.
I’m beginning to run into the same kinds of dilemmas I found when originally designing tcc[3] ; namely, the fact that themes are made, not born. Design has to grow on you, I think. And, even though there’s usualy a net gain in “gee whiz”, the longer I spend under the hood, the less I like the car.
Thankfully, WP makes it easy to change your mind.

Okay, here’s a comment intended to test this feature. Actually, I intend to test this feature to death; we’ll have to make up all kinds of torture tests for this site. I’ll get to them all, eventually.
Perhaps I’ll even have readers, someday.
Perhaps you will someday have readers.
…and there you are. Now I can stop posting comments from various alters-ego.
