Okay. Apparently, Squible-beta2 allows you to exclude category IDs from the front-page post slug area, which is useful for keeping “Asides” where they belong. However, if you’re excluding Asides in this way, the most recent post is an Aside, and you’re only showing 1 post on the front page, no post will be shown at all.

It’d be nice if the code would simply skip over Aside IDs and show the most recent “non-excluded” post.
